Congratulations to our new student government officers: Ms. Nadine Kinda, President & Mr. Hector Zohoun, Vice President, together with our senators: Ms. Cynthia Akue, Ms. Paige Johnston, Ms. Maggie Kabore, Ms. Veronica Ntare & Mr. Ibrahima Pierre.

This year's elections were historic in many ways. It was the first time there was a majority of female candidates running for president, which lead to our first elected female student government president.

Please join us for the SUDC Student Government Induction Ceremony on November 5th at 1:30 pm in the Auditorium. Vice-President Marguerite Dennis of the Boston Campus will do the honors of swearing in our new student government leaders. Later that afternoon at 5pm, the Student Life Office will host a small “Meet and Greet” reception on the balcony behind Room 4, to allow you to meet your student leaders, including the new leaders of our various clubs and organizations.

Lost Boys of Sudan is an award-winning documentary that follows two Sudanese refugees on an extraordinary journey from Africa to America. Orphaned as young boys in one of Africa's cruelest civil wars, Peter Dut and Santino Chuor survived lion attacks and militia gunfire to reach a refugee camp in Kenya along with thousands of other children. From there, remarkably, they were chosen to come to America. Safe at last from physical danger and hunger, a world away from home, they find themselves confronted with the abundance and alienation of contemporary American suburbia.
